Skylar Ezell is an ‘openly Black’ comedy and sci-fi writer/storyteller currently fighting traffic on the 405 in Los Angeles, CA.
As a kid, the Florida native was (and still is) an introvert who loved writing short stories, scripts, and fanfiction in his trusty 5-subject notebook. As a freelance journalist for outlets like Black Nerd Problems and Parlé Magazine, he’s covered entertainment news, pop culture, and US politics. Now the proud Georgia State alum is pouring his unique experiences and background into his writing and filmmaking career.
Currently, Skylar’s greatest claim to fame is beating not one, but *two* parking tickets without ever heading to court. But one day he hopes to be known as an author, screenwriter, and filmmaker who brings audiences together through our shared human experience.
